Thalassemia is one of the most common genetic blood disorders. It occurs frequently among individuals of Southeast Asian descent. Clinical thalassemia is characterized by defective production of hemoglobin, which leads to decreased production and increased destruction of red blood cells. There are many different disorders with defective hemoglobin synthesis and, hence, many types of thalassemia. Beta thalassemia involves two genes in making the beta hemoglobin chain which inherited will obtain each gene from each parent. Beta thalassemia involves two types. First type is one mutated gene which is a minor condition or referred to as beta-thalassemia trait. Second type is two mutated gene which is a moderate to severe condition and also known as Cooley's anaemia. Many individuals with thalassemia (major) need to receive regular blood transfusions to retain good health. Individuals getting regular blood transfusions are at increased risk of developing toxic stores of iron. Therefore they are recommended not to take iron supplements. Persons with thalassemia minor are essentially normal or have (at most) mild anemia (with slight lowering of the hemoglobin level in the blood). This situation can very closely resemble that with mild iron-deficiency anemia. However, persons with thalassemia minor have a normal blood iron level (unless they have are iron deficient for other reasons). No treatment is necessary for thalassemia minor. For your information, individual with thalassemia need to avoid iron supplements. This is because iron supplements may possibly cause complications to them, especially to those who is regularly go for blood transfusion. For individual with thalassemia minor, is important for them to take any supplements that contain iron under their doctor supervision. Iron supplement is prescribed only when their iron level is low.

Greetings to all my friends from all over the world. Did you have any fun last night? I believe that all of us, coming all the way here from the comfort our homes, are not just to have fun. 因为时间关系今天很多的时间我想留给更精彩的环节,我就不跟各位一一讲解如新制度,但是我用这5个方面来总结如新制度的与众不同。

第一个就是公平,我跟我的朋友经常聊天, 我说我一生最想追求的东西就是公平,我的朋友嗤之以鼻的问我那么许东,你告诉我,什么叫做公平?我跟他们说我至少有一个要求就是游戏规则的公平,我希望有一天我们真的靠自己的实力跟努力有一个公平的游戏规则,不用拼爹,因为我爸不是李刚,我希望有一个公平的环境,那么如新给了我一个很公平的游戏规则,对于今天不是官二代富二代平凡的人来说已经是一件很了不起的事情。

Firstly, it’s fair and square. I always tell my friends that I am always into things that are fair and square. Well, they sneered at me and asked, “What is fair to you?” I told them, I demand for fairness in terms of gaming rule. I hope that one day, all of us can play the game fairly, with our own ability, and not from our parents. Seriously, I did not come from a wealthy family; hence the demand for fairness kicks into my head. What Nu Skin has given me is the fair environment for excellent business opportunity. 第一你获得了一个公平的制度,第二个就是实现倍增,我当年离开爱立信的时候我跟我太太的年收入加起来大概有几十万,我在如新的第一个月收入是260块钱,当我拿着工资单很兴奋地跟朋友说的时候,我说你看我已经走过了第一个月,这家公司是真实的,我们有正规的工资单,有招商银行的一卡通,我里面有200多块钱,然后我朋友认为我疯了,他说你这个都敢拿来跟我谈阿?

There goes the first one. Here the second: Exponential multiplication. When I left Ericsson, my wife and I earned several hundred thousand dollars per year, and the total amount I earned during my first month in Nu Skin was $260 RMB. As I showed my pay slip to my friend with full enthusiasm, I told him that I’ve walked through my first month, and promoted that the company I’m now in is truly making money, allowing me to have an official payment invoice, as well as an account in China Merchant Bank, and in it I had more than $200. This friend of mine shunned me as a nut, saying that I must be crazy to talk to him about this.

 

我说有200多,就能有200多万,因为200多证明你的业绩还低呢,你要给我时间,最关键的是什么?他问我为什么会放弃几十万的年薪来拿200多一个月?今天在座的有多少人30岁以上的请举手~女士把手都放下来,要不然报漏年龄,30岁以上的人应该明白我在讲什么,因为你已经有一定的社会经历,我说当你一个月的收入是2000的时候无论是在外面上班或是做小买卖,你的上升空间是比较大的,但当上升到2W的时候你发现你的上升空间已经很小了,已经不可能再倍增了,那假设今天我问他,加入今天你在爱立信2W块钱一个月,假设未来5年还能每年成长5%10%,但是我给你另外一个平台,第一个月我只能你200块钱,但是不多,一个季度让你翻一倍,你选哪个?

I said, if I could have $200 bucks, I certainly can make $200 thousands. $200 bucks can only mean that my volume is still low, you have to give me more time. He then asked me, how come I am able to dump my previous high pay for the pursuit of this career? Any here that is more than 30’s please raise your hand – except for the ladies. Unless you are not honest in telling your age, if not you must understand my words, because like me, you have much more experience in life. Let’s say you are having $2000 RMB for a month, whether you are doing business or working for others, you might find that there are plenty of rooms for improvement and promotion. However, once your monthly income hits $20 thousands, you suddenly realize that your room for promotion is getting smaller and smaller, and it’s impossible for you to get any further promotion. Imagine with me, if I would to ask him, you have two career options – either you earn 20 thousand RMB per month in Ericsson, if you are still able to have 5% - 10% increment within 5 years period, or a platform where I can only give you 200 RMB for the first month, but you can have an exponential multiplication within a quarter, every quarter of the year – which one would you take?

 

大部分的人会选择2W,因为只看到眼前可以拿2W,我选择200,为什么?因为第一个季度,我每个月拿200,第二个季度我每个月拿400,第三个季度800,第四个季度1600,等于我干了一年你仍然耻笑我,不是疯子就是傻子,干了1年拿多少钱呢?1600!我挣2W一个月,接着下个季度32006400128002560051200102400,各位明白我在讲什么吗?随着我的累积跟倍增的到来,我一个月的收入就可以等于你在爱立信一年的收入,我可以告诉各位今天我在如新一天的收入就等于我在爱立信一个月的收入,但是有多少能够明白倍增的概念?

Most people would choose $20 thousand bucks per month, because they can take it on the spot. But I chose 200 bucks for the first month, why? For my first quarter, I get $200 RMB every month, my second quarter $400 RMB per month, third $800 RMB per month, fourth $1600 RMB per month. You might say, hold it, you are getting maximum only $1600 per month, after working for a year, you must be crazy or gone nuts. Well, in my previous career I earned $20 thousands per month, but in this new track, I can get $3200, $6400, $12800, $51200, $102400 and so on, in my quarters to come. Can you understand what I am saying here? As my exponential growth follows, my monthly income can easily equate your annual salary in Ericsson, and now I’m dare to declare that my income in one day working for Nu Skin is equivalent to my monthly income working for Ericsson. How many of you truly understand the power of exponential growth?

 

大部分的职业经理人,当年我就是职业经理人,我认为我很有专业度,我为人很认真,公司任何地方都需要我这样的人,但是到最后我发现我永远在玩什么?靠自己的专业,体力,智慧,时间在换钱的游戏,这个游戏永远无法倍增,这是一个穷人的游戏,所以我跟很多朋友讲,如果你玩得游戏是一个穷人的游戏,那你再努力你都只能是一个穷人,所以当年我跟我太太说,如果今天我们不改变,你在IBM,我太太是一个走职业路线的人, 英文叫做professional,她是一个职业的财务分析师,注册会计师,那么这些工作在别人眼中都是非常令人羡慕的,但是我跟她说我们俩如果继续这样下去,我们俩的结果会是什么?就是做一个过得很不错的穷人,再说一遍,做一个过得很不错的穷人,但是不可能实现真正的财务自由,因为我跟我太太回到单位看到比我们多干10年的人他们的下场一点都不好,也就是说如果我不改变,他们的今天就是我的明天。

I was a manager, I thought that I’m professional, I’m serious about my job, anywhere in the company needs man like me, but in the end, what did I realized? I have been buying money with my skills, energy, wisdom and time. I was in a game that never allows for exponential multiplication, it’s a poor man’s game. Hence, I told my friends, if you are in a poor man’s game, no matter how hard you try, you will always be a poor man. I told my wife at that time, that we have to change. Indeed, my wife was a professional, working for IBM as a financial analyst, as well as a full-fledged accountant, she was having a career that becomes envy in others’ eyes. But I told her this: Can you imagine what would happen to us, if we keep on doing what we’re doing now? A well-off poor man. I repeat, a well-off poor man. Why I say this is because we can’t possibly achieve real financial freedom. Both of us have witnessed our seniors, who are having ten years ahead of us, none of them ends well. In other word, if I continue with I am doing now, I could be ended up like them.

 

各位~今天带着这个问题回去想一想,在你所在的单位或者所工作的领域,看看比你多混5年,10年的人他们什么状态?那就是你的明天,但是很多人都不明白,所以新的制度真正的倍增打动了我,因为我知道如新才是一个真正可以创造有钱人的游戏,而不是一个穷人的游戏。

So ladies and gentlemen, consider this, what have you see in your seniors? They could be 5 years or 10 years ahead of you, what are they like today? What you see could be what you will end with, but most people don’t get it. Because of this, I am convinced that Nu Skin’s system allows for exponential multiplication, it’s a truly rich-man game, not otherwise.

 

那第三个就是真正的自由,我是一个追求非凡自由的人,注意,什么是非凡自由,当年,我曾经认为,我只要有更多的钱,更大的权力,我就会有更多的自由,后来我发现这确实是的,在某种程度上这确实是的,但是我又发现了更可怕的事,我看到中国很多有钱有权的人他们仍然要做很多他不想做的事情,每天要见很多他不想见的人,我要的非凡自由绝不仅仅是财务上的自由,而是可以选择我的生活方式,我可以选择不做那些我不爱做的事,选择不见那些我不爱见的人,但如果要我一辈子为了钱花掉所有的时间,为了追求那个位置花掉我所有的精力,甚至要违背我的良知,价值观,我不做!我希望有一个制度是没有潜规则的,我希望有一个游戏这个钱是很干净的,然而最终能让我达到非凡的自由,我在如新找到了!

Thirdly, true freedom. I am a person who desires freedom. I used to think that if I have more money and more power, then I would be having more freedom. Well, it’s true in a sense, but there is something more behind – I saw many rich people here in China, although they are already rich, they are still doing things that they hate to do, meeting with people they hate to meet. What I want is true freedom, not just financial freedom, but also the freedom to choose my lifestyle. I am free to choose not to do the things I’m not inclined to do, as well as not to meet those whom I hate. If my position demands for the sacrifice of my entire life’s time and energy, or even contradicts my consciousness and values, I would rather quit! The system I am pursuing is a system that doesn’t have hidden agenda, something that is clean and allows for my ideal sense of freedom, and I found it in Nu Skin!

 

那当然第四个就是互助,当我们很穷的时候曾经认为有钱就会很快乐,因为有钱可以住大房子,可以买名车,可以买LV的包,可以买Bugattiveyron(名车牌子,根据发音推断出的)的车,我们认为有钱就会很快乐,后来我们才发现人最快乐的,人生最大的乐趣是有能力帮助人,所以我在了解如新的制度之后我认为非常符合我的价值观,因为有的人选择通过打败别人来成就自己,有的人选择伤害别人成就自己,有的人选择踩着别人肩膀往上爬,不顾及别人的利益,那在如新的制度我真正找到了什么?以合作代替竞争,你一定要通过帮助别人的成功来达到你个人的成功,所以我跟被人说今天也要跟在做的各位伙伴说,当你跟你的朋友聊的时候你可以说如果你只是想追求个人成功的话如新不是你唯一的选择,但如果你想追求群体成功带动你身边的人一起成功的话,那如新是你最佳的选择。

Next, interaction. When we were poor, we think that money could buy us happiness. We could stay in a nice big house, buy fancy car, LV bags, Bugattiveyron and etc. We think money could make us happy, but in the end of the day, true happiness is to be able to help others. In Nu Skin, as I understand how it works, I have decided that its business culture is compatible with my values. Some people make themselves by defeating others, some push their colleague into the fire, and some use others as stepping stones without even considering their interest. What have I found in Nu Skin, then? Cooperation, not competition. You must help others to achieve your own success. Seriously, the business culture in China isn’t that advanced, and I sincerely believe anything like this would have been originated from somewhere more advanced than our own. And talking about my sister, she’s a living legend, because she has been toiling since the beginning. The fact is that no one believed her back then, and this kind of things happened to be that way. And as her brother, I have the responsibility to protect her, and in order to prevent her from being cheated, I went ahead to understand the business. But you know what, I chose to join after that understanding of this business.

Of course, I hope that my speech can at least encourage you to join us. OK. Do you know why you have to thank your inviters? In Nu Skin, we don’t simply invite people. It would make sense that if anyone can make this business count, this company will not be as great as it is now. What the company looks at isn’t so much on your background, birthrights, or even your level of authority, but your personality. Below are ways to invite. THE "Power Phrases & Questions" WORK, so use them!
 
Enclosed is the inviting formula. The concept works like this...
 
If you did not greet and compliment, you will not be able to qualify and find their needs, wants and don't wants, and you will get a rejection.
 
To prevent getting a rejection, greet and compliment them so that they are willing to talk freely and openly (e.g. you are laughing or joking at a topic or talking about a topic that is close to heart).
 
Then use the qualifying questions to find out what they need, want and don't want. If they have a very strong (else ask them to explain it more) need, want and don't want, you can go to the next step, which is to invite.
 
You see, if you didn't qualify them (find their needs, wants and don't wants), then why would they want to come, right?, so you will get a rejection. To prevent that rejection, find out their needs, wants and don't wants so that they have a reason to want to come.
 
After, inviting, they may have questions and concerns. Refer to the HOPE Rev A booklet that I wrote to understand how to answer these questions (there are approx. 28 questions).

The key to this business is to invite. You may not be good at presenting, closing or training. But, by being great at inviting them, you will have your other partners and leaders there to help you do all that (MADE).

Asking for Referrals

Most people blow getting referrals because they say way too much. The best way to get referrals is to not go into any details about it. Just use something simple like:

 

  1. "I'm working on a project in the fitness industry. Who do you know who's into fitness?. . .into health?
  2. "Who do you know who hates their love handles?". . . is into eating right?. . . into working out?
  3. "I need your help. You know a lot of people. I'm currently working on a large project and need to find one or two people to help me. Can I give you a 30 second overview about this project and the profile of the person I'm looking for to see if you can help me locate the right people?"
  4. "John, I need your help. Who's talked to you that's looking for an alternative income stream?"
  5. "Who comes to mind that's looking for a career move?"
  6. "Who's tired of being in traffic?"
  7. "Whom do you know who hates their boss?"
  8. "Who do you know that likes to work real hard, get the job done so they can go play?"
  9. "How about someone really motivated by money and willing to do what ever it takes to succeed?"

 

This last question is very important. Sometimes when I ask for referrals they say "Hey, how about me?" It is very important how you handle this! Don't do what most everyone does. Don't fall for it! If they throw it out to you that they're interested don't get derailed. Keep asking for referrals.
