Dear Willing,
Thank you for your inquiry. Kindly allow me to assist you.
Thalassemia is one of the most common genetic blood disorders. It occurs frequently among individuals of Southeast Asian descent. Clinical thalassemia is characterized by defective production of hemoglobin, which leads to decreased production and increased destruction of red blood cells. There are many different disorders with defective hemoglobin synthesis and, hence, many types of thalassemia. Beta thalassemia involves two genes in making the beta hemoglobin chain which inherited will obtain each gene from each parent. Beta thalassemia involves two types. First type is one mutated gene which is a minor condition or referred to as beta-thalassemia trait. Second type is two mutated gene which is a moderate to severe condition and also known as Cooley's anaemia. Many individuals with thalassemia (major) need to receive regular blood transfusions to retain good health. Individuals getting regular blood transfusions are at increased risk of developing toxic stores of iron. Therefore they are recommended not to take iron supplements. Persons with thalassemia minor are essentially normal or have (at most) mild anemia (with slight lowering of the hemoglobin level in the blood). This situation can very closely resemble that with mild iron-deficiency anemia. However, persons with thalassemia minor have a normal blood iron level (unless they have are iron deficient for other reasons). No treatment is necessary for thalassemia minor. You may visit this link for more information: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/thalassemia/DS00905
For your information, individual with thalassemia need to avoid iron supplements. This is because iron supplements may possibly cause complications to them, especially to those who is regularly go for blood transfusion. For individual with thalassemia minor, is important for them to take any supplements that contain iron under their doctor supervision. Iron supplement is prescribed only when their iron level is low.

ageLOC® R2 Pack helps to purify and revitalize our cells so they can function more like they did when we were younger. ageLOC® R2 Pack works by targeting and resetting two important clusters of genes (detoxification and energy production) to a more youthful pattern. ageLOC® R2 Pack contains a blend of safe and well-studied fruit and phytonutrients and is suitable for all healthy adults. For individuals who have aging concern on both cellular energy production and cellular purification, they may consider taking this product.
Thalassemia cannot be cured because it is a genetic disorder. However, the following products might be beneficial in general health purposes:
· g3: A nutrient-rich juice from the prized gac "superfruit" of southern Asia, whose nutritional benefits have been scientifically demonstrated to protect cells. g3 helps support cellular rejuvenation, strengthens the antioxidant network, and fortifies antioxidant defences against cellular free radical damage.
· LifePak: Contains multivitamins, minerals & phytonutrients (antioxidants) to daily support nutritional needs.
· MarineOmega/OptiOmega: Provides Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, acting as building blocks to cell membranes of every cell in the body including brain cells. Studies show that EPA and DHA support brain function and emotional wellness. This can be beneficial to the child growth and development.
LifePak contains 1.5mg iron chelate in one sachet. Whether or not LifePak may be suitable for thalassemia patient depends on his/her individual health status (ie, thalassemia major or minor). LifePak does not contain a high amount of iron; in fact, many fortified breads and cereals contain more iron than LifePak. However, individuals with thalassemia major and need to go for regular blood transfusions have to be very careful about iron intake and only a doctor can approve the use of LifePak.
I hope this addresses your queries. Thank you and have a nice day!
Warmest Regards,
